This is a remote position that can be domiciled anywhere in the U.S.

This position will be primarily responsible for the development and maintenance of reporting and analytic tools for multiple HR systems, such as scheduling.

Job Summary

Conducts maintenance and supports updates of Human Resources (HR) technology systems including, but not limited to, system design, testing, implementation, and rollout of HR technology projects and process improvements. Acts as an administrator to all HR technology systems and specializes with deep knowledge of at least one HR technology system.

Essential Functions

  • Analyzes moderately complex, system-generated or manual reports and queries; produces and/or oversees scheduled and ad hoc reporting.
  • Performs moderately complex troubleshooting for end users for HR technology systems.
  • Works with system vendors to resolve issues and gain a better understanding of products to ensure alignment and continued system-wide improvement of the HR technology systems.
  • Provides analytical and functional support to multiple HR projects and initiatives; collaborates with various FedEx Ground (FXG) departments and other FedEx operating companies while supporting these projects and initiatives.
  • Contributes to the design, development, and facilitation of HR technology training for Field HR, FedEx Ground General Pittsburgh Headquarters (PGH), and Field personnel.
  • Works with project lead and stakeholders to define project schedules, training plans, user documentation, and communication materials on HR technology system implementation and rollout.
  • Maintains and updates HR technology systems (i.e., database files and tables) and system documentation (i.e., configuration, requirements, functional specifications, and testing documents) to support policy and process changes.
  • Assists in the evaluation of HR technology software needs.
  • Assists in the review, design, development, and testing of data and processes during system conversions, upgrades, and addition of software packages.
  • Performs periodic audits of critical data elements, systems configuration, and system processes
  • Reviews existing procedures and processes and suggests “technology” solutions based on improving data accuracy, improving and eliminating manual process.
  • Leads support ticket management, providing in depth assistance resolving errors, questions, and requests for support.

Minimum Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, Human Resources, or related field required; in addition to Minimum Experience, high school degree or GED and four (4) years experience in HR technology systems or related area is accepted in lieu of degree.

Minimum Experience

  • Two (2) years experience required in HR technology systems or related area. In lieu of minimum experience, six (6) months or more of My Schedule or other network wide implementation will be accepted

Required Skills, Abilities and / or Licensure

  • Software skills, including use of Microsoft Office software and web-based applications.
  • Verbal and written communication skills necessary to explain complex and/or confidential information.
  • Time management and organizational skills necessary to manage the multiple projects, appropriately prioritized workload, plan for resources to meet deadlines and goals, and respond to day-to-day functional needs.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues, draws resources, and develops solutions.
  • Ability to serve as a change agent and project leader while working with various audiences and teams.

- Data and analytics software experience, including SQL, SAS Spotfire, and Power BI preferred
- Willingness and aspiration to gain knowledge, develop skills, and utilize the skills in a practical manner
- Strong problem solving skills to be able to quickly assess a situation or need and turn around solutions to solve business problems
- Ability to take data and explain to varying levels of management and/or audiences in appropriate story form
