As a Data Scientist at Clip Health, you will analyze longitudinal results from our fleet of diagnostic devices and support the next generation of rapid diagnostic devices and tests for diseases such as COVID19, Influenza, and common STIs. You will have opportunities to apply sophisticated analytical techniques and work with novel technologies. We work in a fast-paced, agile environment with colleagues from disciplines such as nanotechnology, manufacturing, software engineering, chemistry, and biology.   • Mining mobile data from devices in the field for usage patterns and public health trends
  • Building analysis tools and data dashboards
  • Planning and executing the collection and fusion of data from different sources
  • Applying inferential statistics and simulation techniques to clinical data sets
  • Collaborating with scientists on the design of experiments
  • Collaborating with manufacturing engineers to reduce waste


  • Bachelor’s Degree with focus in a quantitative discipline such as: CS, Engineering, Math, Operations Research, physical sciences, or Statistics
  • Python programming experience
  • Familiarity with the PyData Ecosystem (Pandas, Numpy)
  • Ability to query SQL or Postgres databases
  • Understanding of probability, statistics, and common distributions
  • Experience applying Bayesian inference or classical / frequentist inference
  • Willingness to independently learn and use new computing technologies through reading and self-teaching
  • Ability to work on-site in our office in Fremont, CA


  • MS or PhD in a quantitative field such as: C.S., Math, O.R., physical sciences, or Statistics
  • Experience applying unsupervised machine learning and data mining techniques
  • Experience in biotech, pharmaceutical, or medical device field
  • Experience telling stories using data visualization for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Working knowledge of common data structures and algorithms
