About the Role*

The central responsibility of the Junior Data Analyst is to process and analyze data from hundreds or thousands of survey respondents, in order to enable the delivery of actionable understanding and insight for our clients. Specifically, the Junior Data Analyst will use our in-house technology to label qualitative data, identifying themes and patterns in the raw data that help our clients answer their most pressing research questions. The person who fills this role will be part of testing, refining, and implementing our most advanced tools and technologies as they are developed by our Product Team.

You like to work with data or language data or both! You enjoy making sense of data, exploring data, and presenting data in ways that support understanding and decision making. Moreover, you understand the power of qualitative data and are excited to work with a team on the cutting edge of qualitative methodology.

Most importantly, you are an empathetic person with a knack for language, who learns quickly and is committed to excellence. You may or may not have expertise in the social, technical, or political dimensions of our research - but you are smart, strategic, and curious.

You want to help make the world a better place, and believe that helping organizations and leaders to understand and engage people in support of a more fair and just world is a great way to do that.

Qualifications

• Passion for making the world a more fair and just place for all to live
• 1-3 years work experience (research experience preferred but not required)
• Insatiable curiosity and a commitment to learning and growth
• Meticulous attention to detail
• A desire to learn quantitative data analytics and qualitative research
• Ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong interpersonal skills and experience working as part of a team
• Excellent reading and comprehension skills in English
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus!

Compensation

This position is a part-time contract with the expectation of 20-25 hours per week, and compensation is a $2500/ month retainer for three months, with the possibility for extension. The start date for this contract is April 11th, 2022.
