Overview:

The Data Analyst works under the supervision of a Quality Improvement Specialist in the Quality & Value based Initiatives Department and is assigned to the CONNECT program within Behavior Health Services to facilitate key projects in the areas of data analysis and measurement to support improvement of clinical and operational outcomes; monitoring and ensuring proactive agency compliance. The data analyst will use statistical methods to analyze data and generate useful reports. The data analyst will also support CONNECT team to create a prioritized list of QI needs and measures for each project identified and recommend new ways to enhance services. Data Analyst will utilize data to create models that depict trends in programs based on departmental needs. The ideal candidate is creative, committed to social justice, and excited to work on a new groundbreaking initiative that could shape the way community-based mental health services are delivered. The data Analyst is also skilled at communication and time management and create innovative ways to break down and present data. The Data Analyst would also help the program in building framework to organize, analyze and distill key insights on data gathered on the ground by community engagement team.

Responsibilities:

• Analyzes and provides data to support the Director of Community- Based Behavioral Health Services and the CONNECT Team in identifying and justifying improvement opportunities, developing a case for change, and monitoring the impact of implemented changes.
• Coordinates with Information Technology in the development of tools to support measurement, data collection and reporting by assisting in scoping projects, and validating data output from internal and external sources.
• Maintains knowledge about changes in definitions and updates for all databases used for analysis.
• Develops a process to ensure and maintain data accuracy.
• Interprets analyses and develops related communication in lay language for end users.
• Provides staff support for key operational and regulatory body.
• Provides data analysis or validation support to other organizational initiatives.
• Assist QI team members with developing planned evidence or outcome-based interventions
• Implement interventions and tracks progress of quality programs.
• Coordinate Quality Improvement processes in Health Services.
• Appropriately incorporate resulting feedback into service delivery.
• Working cooperatively with staff at all levels to develop, implement and administer systems for data collection, database management, computerized case management, scheduling, tracking/monitoring, monthly in-house audits and reporting, both internal and external.
• Perform analysis of operational progress, report and make recommendations to senior staff as needed. Work cooperatively with senior staff to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Participate in standing committee meetings which exists to facilitate inter-departmental coordination of CQI and compliance.
• May provide support to other Behavior Health Services program as needed.
• Perform special projects as requested by supervisor.
