Harbor is building next generation software, products, and services in the areas of investment, distribution, marketing, and operations. This internship role within our Information Technology Team offers a unique opportunity for individuals to be part of a small team of professionals working on the intersection of technology, investments, distribution, marketing, and quantitative analytics and is looking for challenging projects in a nimble, fast-changing organization using modern data pipeline. Selected individual will be working with a dedicated profession mentor within our team involved in building new applications using microservices architecture and modern data pipelines.
The role calls for individuals who are unafraid to push the envelope and explore out of the box thinking. We are looking for students who are passionate about using technology to solve complex engineering problems. Selected individual will have the opportunity to work with industry leading experts in the Distribution, Marketing, Accounting, Products, and Investments Teams across the firm on initiatives that play an important part in shaping and delivering Harbor’s vision of being a top tier asset management firm.
Interns must be able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week with a minimum block of 3 hours a day Monday through Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. This internship is per quarter/semester and is renewable on a continuum. The internship offers the flexibility to work remote.
Selected candidate(s) will be working on many cutting-edge technology areas in the Software and Data Engineering Team. Projects cover the following products and services:
Amazon AWS Services (S3, Glue, EventBridge, SageMaker, CloudTrail, Aurora, RDS, Redshift, Lambda, ECS, EKS, Fargate)
Apache PySpark
Apache Airflow
SAP BusinessObjects
Tableau
Python
Students who are of Sophomore standing or above with some programing experience (Java, C, C++, Python, R etc.) and have successfully completed one or more courses in the field of Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Development, Information Systems, Applied Mathematics or Data Science. Students must provide a transcript or an official letter from the university substantiating proof of successful completion of course(s) with a GPA of 3.0 and above to be considered for this Internship.
