Senior Data Analyst

Resideo is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join our Connected Services team extracting insights from connected devices in homes, energy consumption data, and user behavior data. This team is responsible for leveraging Resideo’s data from multiple sources to drive actionable insights to our Pros and Homeowners. The team is comprised of data scientists, data engineers, and other software developers. As part of this initiative, we are looking for a Senior Data Analyst to help us generate business insights, manipulate and process data, write queries for operational workflows, and set up goals and reporting to support program managers and business leaders. Success in this role comes from marrying a strong data analyst background with product and business acumen to deliver actionable business intelligence in near real-time.

JOB DUTIES

• Manage the prioritization process and pipeline for data analytics requests
• Partner with program managers to set goals, monitor performance, measure attainment, and respond to deviations in near real-time
• Define and communicate performance metrics/KPIs, and be able to explain variances from forecasts to business leaders/program managers
• Support experiments with data science, data engineers, and program managers
• Create business critical visualizations via dashboards and regular reporting to help monitor program operations and event performance
• With a deep understanding of data sources, research and compile novel external data sources to inform program management decisions
• Investigate complex questions about program performance, opportunity sizing, and workflow optimization to derive actionable insights
• Understand data warehousing concepts, design, and modeling
• Experience demonstrating analytical concepts to craft an actionable story for technical and non-technical audiences

YOU MUST HAVE

• Bachelor’s degree required (quantitative field preferred); Masters a plus
• 5+ years of work experience in a technology environment
• Data analytics toolkit:
• Critical: Advanced SQL; Excel modeling
• Preferred: R/Python
• Experience manipulating large-scale data sets
• Developing and building visualizations, dashboards, and reports (e.g. Tableau)
• Experience leading high impact, cross-functional projects from idea to implementation
• Demonstrated ability to achieve goals in a fast-paced environment
