Description

The Data Network Engineer III is a member of the IP Services Team supporting Huntington’s Enterprise Network Organization. This team is responsible for all research, design, standards, and implementation of networking technologies relating to load balancing, DNS, and DHCP supporting Huntington’s infrastructure and applications. This team also provides subject matter expertise support during operational incidents. A strong background in infrastructure design, security, and implementation methodologies is required.

Detailed Description:

• This role will be responsible for overall engineering and project work for Huntington’s IP Services technologies.
• This includes, but is not limited to, Enterprise DNS/DHCP solutions utilizing Infoblox products, and application load balancing utilizing F5 LTM/GTM infrastructure.

Basic Qualifications:

• 7 years of hands-on Enterprise network architecture, deployment, and configuration.
• Bachelor`s Degree in IT field of study

Preferred Qualifications:

• Financial Services background a plus.
• Ability to execute on IT project initiatives with minimal oversight.
• Ability to work both as a team and independently to accomplish goals.
• Data Center Network SME with strong ability to partnership with application teams supporting multi-tier applications.
• Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) with ability to create runbook documentation and operational/implementation turn-over support of new technologies.
• Ability to work with Application teams to meet Enterprise DR solutions.
• Evaluate, design, implement, operate, and maintain enterprise IPAM/DNS infrastructure, specifically Infoblox products.
• Application load balancing technologies. F5 GTM/LTM preferred.
• Automation/scripting of network services, software defined data center, and automation of load balancing/DNS/IP services as part of infrastructure build processes.
• Perform risk assessments on IT products and services and make appropriate recommendations.
• Experience in managing and maintaining standards and baseline configurations of network elements as part of a rigorous configuration management process.
• API integration of IPAM with Service-Now
• Experience with certificate management processes and integration with platforms such as Venafi, F5, ServiceNow.
• Experience building and managing F5 infrastructure with BigIQ
