POSITION OVERVIEW

Under the guidance and direction of the ADAC Supervisor, performs duties as a data analyst and equipment specialist to support the Line Activity Monitoring Program (LAMP) program – Support includes technical, data collection & analysis, and execution of essential processes to support PHI`s overall aircraft data analysis efforts. Individual must support teamwork and be able to function in a diverse work environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Accountable for monitoring the daily activities necessary to support the Aircraft Data Analysis Center
  • Responsible for coordinating flight data collection and analysis, vendor support, notifying ADAC Supervisor of the potential presence of items requiring urgent action or follow-up
  • Ensure all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance relating to onboard aircraft voice and flight data recording systems is complied with in timely and accurate manner
  • Interfaces with Aircraft Data Monitoring Systems (ADMS) personnel as needed for event clarification and other maintenance or operational issues
  • Assist Avionics and Field personnel on troubleshooting activities when required
  • Provides FDM training to PHI personnel as necessary
  • Basic IT duties to support various ground station computers data transfer
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Travels to and remain overnight at various PHI field locations as required
  • After hours and/or weekend support via Field Desk Maintenance
  • Assist analyst when key personnel are absent
  • Potentially, attend internal/external training and seminars as required

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma required
  • Associate degree in aviation, computer science, engineering or technical related field; or equivalent experience preferred.
  • IT Support Specialist Training / Certification or 2 years IT experience; preferred.
  • 3-5 year`s avionics experience to include understanding, troubleshooting, aircraft wiring and repair – required.
  • Basic knowledge of FAA flight recorder regulations required.
  • Ability to assist in providing technical training
  • Must be able to appropriately utilize aircraft manufacturer`s manuals and technical standards.
  • Must be able to coordinate work and express ideas, both written and verbal, with other members of the technical staff
  • Must have an aptitude for computer technology, Microsoft Operating Systems, different types of data structures and must be able to facilitate the appropriate software (i.e. word processors, databases, spreadsheets, etc.) with these data structures.
  • FCC License; preferred but not required.
  • FAA Airframe and Power Plant License; preferred but not required.
