QuadMed is seeking a Healthcare Data Analyst to be responsible for conducting analyses and developing visualizations with data derived from data sets. The analyst will gather, analyze, and interpret data on health, healthcare, and social drivers of health from multiple sources. The analyst will also translate findings into clear, compelling, and actionable narratives to facilitate understanding and progress. This individual will be responsible for developing, implementing, and utilizing databases and reporting tools to extract data, generate reports, perform complex data analysis, and draft system/process improvement recommendations. This role may require interfacing with, gathering information from, and making presentations to various levels of management and our clients. The ideal candidate will have strong data manipulation skills, project management skills, and ability to communicate effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for acquiring, integrating, and transforming data from multiple internal and external data sources
  • Translates the data needs of the business to structure and provide recurring data extracts and develop analytics and reporting solutions for strategic problems
  • Responds to requests for data by determining needs, collecting, organizing, and analyzing data, and providing accurate and complete reports and information
  • Develops effective auditing and validation processes between source systems and the centralized data warehouse to ensure accurate and timely availability of data
  • Maintains and applies knowledge of current trends, practices, and developments in health care
  • Works to develop automated capabilities wherever possible
  • Synthesizes findings and implications into recommendations for the business that are understandable by various functions and teams, including senior executives
  • Contributes to pricing analysis and financial modeling as necessary
  • Presents complex data in written and oral formats clearly and concisely

Qualifications
Appropriate education and/or experience may be substituted on an equivalent basis

Education:

  • Bachelor`s Degree in Statistics, Business Administration, Nursing, or related field required
  • Master’s Degree in quantitative field or MBA preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a population health and data analytics role

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills in order to work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment meeting deadlines
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and demonstrated analytical abilities
  • The ability to work both independently and within teams
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, with excellent presentation skills, confident in all settings with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Comfort with learning new skills and analytical tools
  • Advanced level skill in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with healthcare information systems, analytics software, and BI tools required (e.g., Epic, Excel, Access, SQL, Tableau, PowerBI)
  • Proven ability to work successfully with diverse populations and demonstrated commitment to promote and enhance diversity and inclusion
